Manual therapy according to Maitland
The Maitland concept is part of manual therapy, a special form of physiotherapy.
This form of therapy is primarily concerned with the targeted examination and treatment of pain and problems in the musculoskeletal system.
As the name manual therapy suggests, the therapy is carried out with the hands, so a problem can be mobilized and treated in a very locally differentiated manner.
Movement restrictions and pain can be positively influenced in this way.
physiotherapy
Is a form of treatment that is used to treat diseases from almost all medical disciplines. This includes both active and passive forms of therapy. The goal of physiotherapy is to improve the mobility and functionality of the body.
Physiotherapy according to Bobath (for adults)
The Bobath therapy is a special treatment concept for adults and children with disorders of the central nervous system. She is named after the couple Dr. Karel and Bertha Bobath and is primarily aimed at patients with motor, perception or balance restrictions.
Manual lymphatic drainage / compression therapy
Lymphatic drainage is a special, medical form of massage (decongestion therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, MLD).
It is part of the "complex physical decongestion therapy" and is used for congestion in the tissue fluid (lymphedema). Their areas of application are wide-ranging.
Craniosacral Techniques
Cranio-sacral therapy is a holistic form of therapy and a part of osteopathy.
By gently touching the skull (cranium) and the sacrum (sacrum), tension in the tissues can be detected and released. The body's own rhythms are brought into balance and self-healing powers are activated.
Application examples:
Head, neck and back pain
Disorders in the jaw, ear, paranasal sinuses
whiplash
Disorders of the autonomic nervous system and hormone balance
electrotherapy
Is a physical therapy procedure that uses electric current for therapeutic purposes. The aim is, for example, to achieve pain relief, blood circulation stimulation or relaxation of tense muscles.
